This is the car miss the most! I owned this car in between 1997-2004. I am the second owner but the first civilian owner! What I mean, is that it was a California Highway Patrol interceptor! And it was fast! I purchased it from a dealership in Sacramento. It still had all the essentials on it! Special service suspension, certified calibrated 160 Speedo and it used it! It was the most dependable car I ever owned! Unfortunately it was stolen from me in 2004! It had 110,000 Miles when I bought it and it had 395,000 miles when it was taken from me. Because of my maintenance it passed the biannual smog check throughout its life! I changed the oil religiously every 3000 miles with synthetic oil and tuned up every 6 mos. The clutch was replaced at 200,000 miles with a centerforce brand! It had an x pipe exhaust, and a home made ram air that was routed where the siren used to be! As I said it was the most dependable car I owned, it didn't leak any oil and it burned only a half a quart between changes! An attest to my maintenance!
It was pretty basic. Probably had close to 250 Hp. It had the stock 5.0! It did an indicated 140 mph with the 3.08 gears! The suspension was heavy duty for the CHP basically it was SVO! The tires on it were police service units made by general,225/60-15. It had a T-5 Transmission this car was basically stock!
it was a police pursuit package heavy duty everything! It had a 160 mph Speedo! 130 Amp alternator. Again all stock!
The mods I did were,a Bassani exhaust, K&N replacement filter, with a homemade ram air and timing advanced to 10 degrees btdc! It got Average 23 Mpg!
