A friend of ours is Irish. When he came over from Ireland, he was amazed at the beautiful trucks that we have over here. He decided that if he worked hard he too could have a beautiful truck. He saved until he could afford the truck of his dreams. He ordered a 1994 F150 from the factory. It arrived at the Bethleham Suburban Ford, then was sent to Mark III Customs in Fla. to be customized. 6 months later it returned. His wife took him to the dealer to pick up his new truck. When he saw it, he began to shake! It was the most beautiful truck he had ever seen! He couldn't bring himself to drive it! After the 3rd attempt to bring it home, he realized he could never use it as a work truck as he had intended. So, he purchased another truck for work. It took 6 attempts before he could bring himself to drive the truck home. It went home to the garage and was only brought out on an occasional sunny Sunday family outing. On day he decided to take the truck on a business trip to Washington D. C. As he was pulling his suitcase out of the truck that night, a policeman stopped and said "Are you leaving that truck here for the night?" He said that he was. The officer told him that it wouldn't be there in the morning and directed him to a garage that would lock it up for the night. The next morning, he drove 225 miles home, switched trucks, and 225 miles back to D.C.!
10 years later, at his accountants strong suggestion, he decided to put his 18,000 mile truck up for sale. (He put a for sale sign on it and put it back in the garage!) Finally he called me, knowing my love for the truck.
After almost 4 years (and less than 1000 miles) we have decided to start "using" the truck. What good are they if you don't get to drive them?
