Well there is a long story behind how I got the car and what I have been though with it. I am the 3rd owner of the car, the first owner bought it from the factory and kept it in the garage when he was not going back and forth to college, he had it the longest out of the three. The 2nd owner had it for one year and he used it for school also. Then I got the car in my 8th grade year of High School. I drove it for about 2 years and started letting my mom drive it to work. Well I don't think the car liked her driving because it blew on her on the way back from work one day. So at the time I did not know how to rebuild it myself and was looking for someone to do it. Well I met a guy named Wes that worked at O'Reilly's and he said he could do it for me for $1,200. This is where the story takes a turn for the worst. He started teaching me some stuff, and tore down the 305. Well not sure why but he kept putting it off and kept putting it off. Then one day he in no were to be found, he had divorced his wife and skipped town with My 305, $1,200, $600 worth of High Performance Parts and till this day we have not found him or my 305. So then I met Tray Yager, he found out what had happen and helped me get her back on the road with a 350 we found for $100 it had like 240,000 miles on it but it ran like a Chevy is suppose to, Strong. What's even better I did most of the work. Tray is like my 2nd father now he has taught me everything I know about cars, and now I can almost do anything with one. Well eventually the old motor gave up and started knocking, but for $100 I was not up set plus you can't put a price on knowledge after learning what I know from that motor it was worth it. Now I have a 1973 L82 vet 350 under the hood that me a Tray ran across in a mans old 1980 Chevy Pick Up, he said he would take $700 for it. Well I traded a Browning 30/06 and $300 for it. Well we had it running in the Camaro for about 6 months but we could never get the lifters to stop taping, well I got sick of it and started taking her apart got to the lifters and they were bowled on bottom and the cam was done for, so now the hole top end is apart. On the car Long Tube Camaro Headers, Duel Flow Masters with Turn Downs,
I just put 202 valves with multi angle valve seats on the L82 Heads and valve guides, new screw in studs, and new valve springs, guide plates, and the heads are also Tempered,
I am putting Comp cam and lifters in it. 272/282 duration, Lift 442"/465",EDL 650 carb, HEI distributor with Hot Coil, Ac-Sell, Plugs and Wires, and I am fixing to put 3.73 gears under her.
Engine Size: L82 350
HP: between 400-420
Trans: 350 Turbo
Do not want to know what top speed is I had it go past 130 and hit 10 and it was still pulling, so I know it will do 160 with out a doubt.
It came with a HO 305 with air, power windows, Pin Stripe Package, 350 turbo trans.
