Three years ago my wife blew the motor and I was going to get rid of the car but after learning the history of the Intrepid being the first of it's kind (cab forward design) and modeled after the Lamborghini Portofino concept car.....that, and how rare it is (at least around here) to see a Sport Intrepid I decided to keep it, and I'm glad I did! After a almost $2,500.00 suspension makeover including body and engine mounts plus $1,500.00 into a COMPLETELY rebuilt motor (with a few upgrades) done by myself and a friend I am back behind the wheel and loving it, heck I almost forgot how fun she was to drive! Next week the cold air intake goes on and in a month or so the engine gets some powder coat, after that comes the turbos and a few other mods but nothing major to the body (aka no kits) after all nothing is more satisfying than eating an expensive sports car or a souped up rice burner for lunch with a four door "Family" car!!!
Sport Edition includes larger 3.5L V-6, Auto-stick transmission, stiffer suspension, alloy rims, candy apple red paint, cruise control, power windows, locks, seats and mirrors.
New Crank, journals, pistons, rings, cams, heads, valves, springs and lifters.
Cold air intake.
Newest mod: All 2 1/4" exhaust, resonators and converters removed and replaced with 2 1/2" straight pipe back to a Dynomax muffler.
More Mods soon to come!
