Ordered it new, ended up being chosen to be included in the 2001 Impala brochure as a 2000 owner (quoted in the brochure), and received a commemorative pin set for doing so.
3.8l 200HP V6
Top speed 108 MPH (governed)
Special ordered w/front bench seat/column shift, moon roof, 3.8l engine, power seats (driver and passenger), etc. The LS model came w/the 3.8 but bucket seats; the base model came w/a 3.4l but a bench...hence the reason for special ordering. Other than leather seats and fog lights, this car had every available option (and has been my favorite car thus far).
K&N air filter, and actually most unique were the front and rear mud guards...in 2001 Chevy modified the rear wheel well (added a liner), and as a result the rear mud guards were only available for the 2000 model, and very few of those were ordered. Not uncommon to see later models w/the front guards, but I don't think I ever saw another with the rear guards in place.
