This car is the first one I have ever taken off a car lot. I have always bought my cars from private owners, but since the last two I'd had turned out to be money pits, I decided it was time to go to a dealership. The Impala was not my first choice, but because of my not so good credit and inability to make a large down payment, she was the best I could do. Now over a year later, the impala is the best car I have ever owned, and by far my most maintained car. The tuneups are done on schedule, I clean and detail on a regular basis, and the car has thanked me by only needing simple, cheap repairs that you find on a car over a decade old. Although aftermarket upgrades are not overly plentiful for my baby, I have found that there is enough for me play with for now, but I am always adding, changing, upgrading and customizing.
Since I have not done any serious performance upgrades, I believe the car to be at the stock specs or slightly higher since I have done some performance upgrades and the drivetrain is in excellent condition.
