I don't have the cash for the cars I want. On the other hand, the 06 Vue with the L66 V6 is surprisingly quick for that segment.
L66 V6. Yes, it's a Honda engine, but it was manufactured in Ohio.
Two-wheel FWD -- quicker than the heavier AWD
GM L66 engine (Manufactured by Honda in Ohio in a swap with GM for GM's diesel engines in European Hondas)
Acura transmission with an Saturn-only shift kit.
Acura auto trans rebuilt with the Acura shift kit (quicker than the Saturn kit that detuned the transmission).
K&N Cold Air induction system.
General Grabber HTS Tires, 235/65R16, T Speed Rating. Much, much sticker and better than OEM tires. My late father taught me never to skimp on tires, since they are the only things between you and the road. It was good advice
It still has the ugly-ass wheels. I'd like to put 92 - 96 caprice cop wheels and center caps on it. (I like that look.) They are black steel wheels with chrome center caps.
