I just got this car, and I love it! I needed a car to have fun with since my 1962 Bel Air wagon was destroyed by a drunk kid in a stolen truck last year. I saw it in a gas station with a for sale sign in it, went and asked about it, took it for a test drive, and wrote a check. It isn't what I expected to get, but I'm glad I got it! I still want to replace my wagon, but it isn't as urgent any more.
well when i was young the only thing i remember about this car was it sitting underneath my grandma's carport. i always thought it was hers.
well turns out it wasnt hers. it was my dad's best friend's and he needed a place to put it for a while.
he had it painted and had a custom interior done, white with teal green inset. really nice.
we got a set of stock wheels and hub caps and something wasnt right...i kept telling them they looked like hubcaps off an old chevy
well i'm only 26 so nobody ever believes me when i tell them things like that.
i just recently did some digging around and found they were close to the stock style but these are actually hubcaps from a '73 Caprice. i hate when i'm right :)
here's the hubcaps we've got
and here's the hubcaps we need.
so if anyone needs some hubcaps for an early caprice. drop me a line!!!!!
right now the car has some mag wheels on it but i realy want to level the ride height out and put the stockers back on.
350 V8 and a 5speed. I haven't timed it yet, but it's a lot faster than the wagon was!!!!!
Huge X Big.
White top. needs replaced.
Brown back window. needs replaced.
top mechanism works!!!!!
lots of chrome.
I don't know what was standard and what was optional, but it's got just about everything except a CD player. That will change soon.
AM radio (still in there!!)
