I've liked the Magnum since it came out, and I even had one as a company car before this one came along. Power, performance, comfort, room to carry just about anything... What's not to like?
I shopped for a year, driving everything I could find in the new car market including Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Cadillac, etc. After determining that we wanted pure performance over luxury performance, we went back to the Shelby, Mustang GT, Challenger, and Camaro SS. Only the Camaro had the ride, look, and power that we truly just LOVED. Purchased the car new as Inferno Orange SS with the RS package.
Be sure to check the Specs and Mods when comparing cars. All RS/SS cars are loaded.....But Onstar doesn't make the car a bad Bowtie....I'm not bagging on others, just reminding folks what makes a car truly special....it isn't the bells and whistles....Honda puts more bells and whistles in there cars but Accords are no competition for the bad bowtie....
We named this car "Aretha" which is Greek for "The Best". And like Aretha Franklin, she's got curves and packs a serious punch! :-)
Yeah, it's got a HEMI!
Around 450 HP at the engine (see mod's). Tack on 25 extra for both torque and HP from stock. Everything else is stock. Personally do no have 1/4 mile time, or 0-60 but she's fast. I had her up to 118 but got nervous thinking about deer and prong horn crossing the road so I slowed down, but she didn't even flinch....she's all that and a bag of chips.
Look at the option sheet. If it's there, it's on this car!
Gloss black rally stripe dropped over the back spoiler, blacked out Bowtie, street legal tint, and body color flaps behind wheels. RS/SS package. All this done before delivery under direction of the dealer.
Cat-back exhaust, limo tint.
Cold Air Induction; Flowmaster Series 40 axle-back system; chrome side gill inserts; chrome reverse light inserts; custom front stainless steel and polished plate bracket requiring NO drilling of holes anywhere in the car. (Don't have photos of the new stuff done...will have to add those)
And who the heck cares about a powertrain warranty that you never want to use anyway. If GM makes a solid LS3 engine, you won't ever need the warranty and will have wasted 5 years of fun. Bring on a tune and some other toys to get this bad bowtie up to some serious big boy torque and HP (I'm a torque guy myself but thankfully you get them both together!)
