When my Grand Prix bit the dust last year, I thought it was about time for a playtoy. I found this car on eBay at a decent price, and since it was within a (long) day's drive, my buddy and I drove out to pick it up that weekend. The seller wasn't quite honest in his description of the car, because it was even better than I expected it to be! I've wanted a Porsche for many years, and now I've got one!
My father was the original owner of this. We were estranged for 20 years. My family thought he'd sold it in the mid 1990s. After he died in Costa Rica (where he'd been an ex-patriot for ten years) I got a phone call form some lady in Austin, TX who, after confirming I was his son, told me there was an old car in a storage unit under his name. It was indeed the DeLorean. The rest is history.
