This is my pride and joy: My 1976 Pontiac Trans Am. My dad bought it as a "Father and Son" project about three years ago.The car has the original "numbers matching" 400 engine & it runs & drives great. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts nicely, the car always starts for me & I feel confident driving it anywhere.
There are no rust or dents, and there have never been any. - It's just a very nice clean car that has been kept as original as possible, except that the interior has been reupholstered, and about 2 years ago my dad and I repainted the car the original color with the help of a friend of his in the restoration business and had a brand new set of decals put on. Also I had a brand new exhaust system put on. My dad and I did a lot of the work on it ourselves, learning as we went along. He surprised me by giving it to me as a college graduation present last spring.
My sister bought this car new for from the local Pontiac,GM dealer (Pruitt Motor Company 319 East Commerce St. in Morrilton AR) back in 1979. She kept it until selling the car to me in 2004 It has 71,000 miles on it.She didn't have a garage to park it in so all the interior parts, seats and paint showed thier wear and tear. I have restored this car back to it's "glory days" New atlantis blue paint and light blue interior, just the way it came from the factory. This is what the car looks like now. Check out the Albums below to see what all has been done to this car.
