I first realize I had a love after my bicycling hobby became my job. My first car was a 68 Barracuda. Because I could put my bicycle in the back without taking off a wheel. I beat the Sh*t out of that car. Plus I never tuned it up or changed the oil. I still ran though. You can't kill a 318. I gave it to my brother for parts and bought a 4cy Monza in '86. Another hatch bach I could fit my bicycle in. It got 30mpg plus! I toured with it looking for another, "the right", Cuda. I found one in Loveland CO in 1987. And never let it go. MY true passion is that car. So I didn't have to drive it in the weather I bought a 1975 Monza with a 350. originally a 262 V8. That motor was ruined by the 1st owner who never maintained it. The 2nd owner put a 4 bolt main 350 in it from his Blazer that he had crashed 4x4ing. He wasn't an H-body guy. So He didn't know the right mods you have to do to these cars and hated the confined space the engine had to fit in, I bought it fixed his errors and found the necessary part put it together right. His moter was beautiful and strong! It just didn't handle like an A-Body Mopar though.
1968 Barracuda, 318 2bbl AT
1957 Chevy Monza. 350ci Turbo 350 trans with a mild shift kit. Very few cars beat it to 100mph!
My 68 Cuda when XV Motorsports is done with it. The Kiesler 5spd installed. And the Mopar pn5155513 installed! Then my dreams since I bought the car in 1987 will have come to fruition!!
