I have always loved cars. I remember at about age 8 helping dad replace the clutch on his Willys Overland wagon. My older sister and I would run that car up & down the driveway using the starter button. Dad could not understand why the battery was always flat. After I got out of the service in 1970 got involved with sports cars. Spent many hours as part of a pit crew for a friend who raced Corvettes in SCCA TransAm series. I bought our 1971 Olds Cutlass in 1989 and have had the body redone twice and have redone the interior. We have driven this from Iowa to Detroit twice for the Woodward Dream Cruise. 7 years ago added the 55 chevy 3100 Series 2 pickup to my garage. We completed the street rodding of the truck last year and have had a blast with it since! Both of our grown sons are into hotrods also. David has a 1953 Plymouth Suburban wagon, a 1960 Chevy Impalla low rider/chopped project and a 1973 Ponitac Granville Convert. The younger son, Jared has a 1946 Chevy fat fender street rod. All 3 of the grandkids show interst in cars and have won awards with their pedal cars. Owning cars, driving cars, working on cars and talking to like minded people about cars is my idea of living!!
