- Hi, new to this forum trying to figure out where to communicate.
Bought bone stock 69 Camaro matching #'s from original owner in 1992. She cried as she signed title over almost didn't go through with. Then I sold it to a buddy in 1997. Stupid move regretted for years! After 12 years sold it back to me. When I had it I put a total of 300 miles on it. Over the 12 years my buddy put a whopping 1,100 miles on it. Over a period of about 20 years the car has only had a total of 1,400 miles put on it. I started to restore somethings before sold and buddy did nothing to it. Sat in his garage for 12 years with an occasional run around the block and a wash. It is Daytona Yellow with Daytona Yellow Houndstooth Interior. Car's in great shape but front seat covers and door panel split. Trying to restore this very rare interior has proved difficult. Looks like classic now has Daytona Yellow seat covers and door panels, but that is it. . When I had in 90's they didn't, and I called them to change over to black houndstooth and they told me how rare and warned me not to switch. Back in the day only option was buy white and have dyed yellow. Would like to hear from other Daytona Yellow interior owners! Still has the protecto plate with it. The original owner custom ordered from factory. Got most of the items it has off the protecto plate but the axle is a mystery. It is a 10 Bolt with heavy duty leaf spring and hangers. The protecto plate says PG for the axle cannot find a PG designation. Any ideas? WIll post pictures soon. Never will sell again!
