About me and my passion for cars
I'll be getting to these parts is the next few days! Wait till you see all the great things... All of them ----> Right Here!
My first car
It was after I was married in 1968 to my wife of now 38 years! Until then, we drove her car which was a 1959 Metropolitan! I wish we's never sold it! We actually sold it for $70 because it didnm't have a back seat for our new baby girl! It was a great two seater car that ran great - It had a three speed on the column with a small Britich Leyland engine! We must have been NUTS! But officially, our first car was a silver 1969 Chevrolet Caprice with a 396 HP V-8 Engine. It had all the beels and whistles and beautiful Velour Seats! Those were the days! That car was sooo smooth that it floated at 90 MPH!
Car I wish I still had
My brother and I had a Fire Engine Red 1964 Austin Healy Sprite - Just like the MG Midget but with no cvhrome! It was a hot little car and it was absolutely fun to drive specially with the top off to feel the cool Miami Breeze in my face!
My dream car
I must say I'd like a new breeed of car... I'd like a combination Car - Van - SUV.
A hybrid of sorts that I'd call a Carsuvan... Not a Caravan but a CarSUVan. It woulf have a 505 Horse Engine like the new Vete (to save on Gas) It vould have the ability to go, anywhere, like a 4x4 SUV and the luxury and all the comforts of Custom Built Van. But it would have to be sporty, roomy and have nine comfortable captains chairs - one roomy couch across the rear, thinks like ,a fridge and counter space. I also need a trunk of sorts in the rear somehow, so I could tuck away luggage, tools, a spare tire, and things we normally store in a trunk without blocking my rear view! I'd like the engine to have a hood witrh easy access, not like a van where half of it is inside the cab which makes things a little warm. I'd want lots of glass, lots of electronics and seven TV's, DVDs, XBoxes and more... one for each of our seven grandkids! Above all, to be safe, comfortable and hot!
