About Masetto’s Garage
About me and my passion for cars
I suppose my passion started when walking and riding my bike became out of the question for transportation. I purchased my first car in 1983 just out of high school putting half down with my own money. My first car was a 77 Mustang Gia and only cost $3,000. My payments were only $69 per month (Wish you could do that now???). Gas prices in VA were only $.79 per gallon. Once i was pregnant with my first child it was time to trade the Mustang for something with 4 doors for the car seat. Some lucky high school kid was going to be very hapy according to his father who purchansed it. I will not bore you with my next 5 cars although I will mention that the Escort and the Stratus were very reliable for me. Then I got my PT Cruiser. It was not even in my vocabulary to say "I want to join a car club". I am in love with my "Cassy". For utility and style you can not beat this car. My daughter was insistant we needed to take our truck to get her moved to college. I knew better. Not only did I prove her wrong, we also had three people in the car with STILL more room. This year she was upset that the PT may be scheduled to make a road trip to Arizona durring her "move" but was quite relieved when "Cassy" stayed home and will be more than ready to take on the task of moving a beloved daughter to her new dorm. My dad did not like PT's till he was forced by a rental agency to have one for a week, she he go back home he was right out pricing one for ownership. You can not go wrong with this car!!!
My first car
77 Mustange Gia, Buttercut yellow with all leather seating & sunroof.
Car I wish I still had
A brand new PT Cruiser WITH the 2005 interior control panels. I just don't like the newer dash and control panels.
My dream car
Same as the car I wish I had. PLUS a tighter turning radius and better gas mileage.
