About me and my passion for bikes
First husband bought an '81 Lowrider, which he kept. Made a deal with second husband that I would get a new Harley upon law school graduation; unfortunately we divorced within months and he did NOT make good on his promise. A year after that I bought a used, tricked out '93 Sportster from another biker chick; just a li'l 883, but enough for me. It was red, and I kinda liked the fact that the bike was newer than my car at the time! Met Joey, #3 husband, while riding in SoFla; he had a brand new 1200 at the time, and we enjoyed riding. One year we went from Hollywood to St. Augustine on A-1-A, which was pretty cool. Another year we trailered the bikes to the Smokies, and enjoyed some pretty fun twisties. In '01 we trailered them to Albuquerque, where we planned to get on Route 66 and ride them to the end at Santa Monica. Got there on 09/11, and the world changed. My Dad was unable to get a flight to Albuquerque - you see, he had agreed to be our support driver "just in case." Anyway, we didn't ride the bikes much that trip, but it was still pretty neat.
Joe sold his Harley before we moved to Colorado, and I recently sold mine. Still have the Yamaha, which goes fast and sounds good. One o' these days I just might have to get another Harley - maybe that dream Fat Boy!
