About me and my passion for cars

I learned how to build & repair equipment from my Dad while growing up on our Farm in Michigan. I was into Street Rods for the first 10 yrs. & Sand Rail Dune Buggies for 5 yrs. then started restoring Corvettes as a hobby for 25 yrs. Now I am into Jeeps. I have a 2007 Wrangler as a daily driver here in Florida & a 94 Wrangler YJ at our Summer Home in Michigan near the Sand Dunes for playing up there. It has a 350 Chevy TBI motor, 700R4 transmission, 410 gears & 35" Baja Claw tires on 10" Mickey Thompson wheels. I am currently ordering a 383 Chevy Crate Motor & a Powerjection 3 fuel injection unit to top it off. I need a little more horsepower for the big Dunes so I'm bringing it to Florida this Fall to do the installation as a Winter project.

My first car

1953 Mercury Hardtop with fender skirts & dual exhaust. They were cool back then.

Car I wish I still had

1961 Corvette 283 V8, 4spd. with fuel injection and a removeable hardtop. It was fast & fun.

My dream car

1963 Corvette Grand Sport that Zora Arkus-Duntov built for racing.
