2000 Yamaha YZ 125 (The Beast)
Last updated Feb 12, 2009
I got this bike in 07 and it was my first bike with any real power... I also have a 250 recon and I used to ride an 80s model Yamaha 80 four stroke. Ever since I bought it I've only had trouble with it, so I've put more hours in working on it than I have riding it. I just replaced the top end with a brand new Wiseco kit and then i found a tiny crack on the crankcase cover that I tried to cover up with some JB weld and that didn't seem to work so well because the oil kept oozin' out as soon as I cranked it up. The crankcase cover only cost $96 to replace, but that's more than I've got... If anybody has some advice on that dilemma I wouldn't mind hearin' it.
The bike weighs a little over 200 pounds and Idk what the HP is, but I got bored one day and me and my friend drove side by side with my bike and his car and we figure it topped out around 90 or 95 MPH... his speedometer was a little off and this wasn't a perfect measurement of speed, just a guesstimate.
Supa fast liquid cooled 125cc engine, and some sweet shocks.
FMF fatty gold series and powercore II silencer, new Wiseco topend, Renthal bars and sprocket. A bunch of graphics sets and replaced grips and what not.
