Beautiful & rare KTM200SX. 10f only 750, 2003 models. This bike has been in storage for the past year. I'm only selling to buy a daily driver car. So I would consider a decent car as a trade.

About

This is a very rare bike. Only 750 were in the US in 2003. Ktm had a 125 factory rider who wanted to race the US Open in Vegas. That's was a 250 race at the time. So KTM talked the promoters into letting him race a 200 2t. As a result the 200sx was born. 125 chassis with a 200 2 stroke motor. As light as a 125 with a better hp/wt. ratio than a 250. It doesn't have the hit like 250does though so it's much easier to ride. If anyone has ever ridden a big bore 125, I used to have a YZ125 with a 150 big bore kit in it) it's just like that only more. You can lug it like a 250, but you'll be slower than one. You can rail corners like a 125 and then you'll be faster than a 250. This bike has pulled holeshots against 450's even.

Specs

I'm not sure on the actual #'s but they were around 41 hp. stock. That's a couple more than a works 125 was.

Mods

This bike really didn't need any mods done to it, but I couldn't leave well enough alone. I went up 3 teeth on the rear sprocket. I added stiffer springs front and rear. From the factory they are a little soft. I put a power now carb insert in for some more snap. I also switched out the reed cage for a boyesen rad valve. I shortened the silencer 2.250" also for some more snap. I a semi-supercross track in my backyard and wanted the power band more on the 250 side. I added a Factory R&D shock resevoir extension also. This increases the nitrogen holding capability and makes the shock more supple. I added full length fork covers for looks and security also (you can see them in the pic.'s) Custom graphics and that's all the bike really needed.
