I realized at the spirit of freedom car show in florence why I dont drive kitt in the rain. It has not seen a rainy day since Ive had the car since 2003. July 4th 2008 was the first ever rain thats been on the car in 5 yrs. And yes t-tops of the 3rd generation t/a's do leak. Just like I heard CC say, "There are no good t-tops" I guess the only t-tops GM could build are those of the leaky kind. Heres a rare pic of kitt fully soaked after a storm came thru in Florence.

- oh he got over it, but he was griping all the way home, I turned kitts CPU off to make him be quiet, he just gets too emotional sometimes.

- 100%, i have had at least 5 2nd gens and 2 3rd gens and no 1 4th gen TA, along with a 77 T-Bird, 1 3rd gen camaro, 75 H/O and a few others i am not recalling, but no t-top owner can say his/her tops dont leak. Well except those that dont see rain.
But you know what, they do dry out, if you take the proper measures. They are meant to be driven and unfortunately they will get wet from time to time. KITT's feelings will mend.

I still gotta wash the road grime off but kitts hi and dry in storage, the first person commenting had a point, at least there wasnt hail.
