My New Pup Lucky

By bOnEcRuShEr

Does anyone have any dog training secrets out there? If so please let me know. He alreay knows how to sit, shake, and hug. But i need to teach him how to stay, fetch, and walk next to me without a leash and without running away if theres other dog and **** around. So if any of you have any advice and how to do these things please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,

Walker

Get a good book... Basically what I know is you have to spend time ON leash working with him, before he will be good OFF leash. Rewards work better than reprimands, always. If dog is pulling on leash and won't heal, get training collar for sure, but run the leash under/down his armpit and that helps keep him from pulling. Sit stay takes a long time. If he moves, put him back exactly to the spot where you gave him command. Reward often. Start with short time, like 5-7 seconds on stay. Then build up time slowly.

Great dog!!! Good luck!
