Well, I've been shopping around online and found most of the parts I'll need to finish my S-10. I'm talking about the parts to install and operate the 350 AND the parts needed to fix the body. I don't have the money right now and I'm not charging anything else on my credit card, but I do have an investment coming due in April that should provide the finances needed. I know there's going to be other smaller items needed to complete the job, but this is for the big ones I checked out.

So for about $1500 I can have my truck running strong and the parts to fix the body! I figure to add at least $500 for body shop supplies and paint & materials. A few weeks work and I'll have me one strong running, good looking little truck! Howwaboutthat!!!

I saved up $1400! I got the body parts! Money evaporated before I could get any mechanical parts. I'm pissed I have to start saving again.

Good to have a game plan. My list seems to keep growing! Finally got my cash for a wire harness $550, ouch and I still need my computer flashed. Thats my last big expense other than paint though and I have most of that. I know the parts are used but could you find things like the cooling fans and tailgate at a salvage yard? Might shave 4 -5 bills off your cost. Most yards get pretty good parts too. Sometimes just having new parts to work with is really nice though. Keep on truckin.
