Head to Head

About “Gold Mustang”

I found this Mustang on the internet a while back. It is a V-8, auto car with factory air and Pony interior. It ran good but was due for a paint job. It wasn't in bad shape and when I took the interior out of it I found that it still had the original paint on the floors. We don't see that in Washington State; This car was definitely an Arizona or California car as the guy I bought it from said.
Did the paint job with clear coat, including the jambs and trunk and under the hood and put new interior kit, top and bumpers and emblems on it. Got it all freshened up.

About “Red”

Originally Poppy Red with Black interior, now is Metallic Red (House of Colors) with a Palimino interior. When I purchased it in 2004, it had a pearl top coat applied and had ponies painted on the sides. It had a partial restoration of body and sub-frame done in 2007. Also replaced all rubber seals, gaskets, carpets, trunk liner and tires while it was in the shop.
This car was built in Dearborn, MI on April 8th, 1964 which makes it one of the few 1964 1/2 Coupes with the factory 289 4V and 4-speed manual transmission combination. The engine modifications (listed below) were done before I owned it and it was a participant of the 1991 Ford Motorsport Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA. I tried to verify this with Maple Grove Raceway but, they do not keep records for that far back.
