About “Gen'l Sherman”
One family owner. Still have window sticker, protecto plate, emission control systems manual and the owners manual. Sticker price $4,466.09 (actual delivered price $3,836.17 including tax, tag, etc.).
Within two weeks after the car was restored, I drove it on a 720 mile round trip to NC and back so my father could see it looking like new again (at least the body and interior). Since then, I have had the engine detailed and painted (will add pictures later).
Since leaving the dealer's lot, this car has not and hopefully will never see a trailor for transporting it. It was my father's commuting car in the 70's and 80's and will still be driven every where. When I retire, I'd like to use it to deliver meals for "meals on wheels."
About “Formie”
I saw this car for sale at a Caddy dealership in Marietta, GA in July 2004. I have always liked the Formulas, so I had to check it out.
After a quick, uneventful testdrive, I traded my 1999 Buick Century (a solid car in it's own right) for the Formula.
The car has been my daily driver ever since. I started with about 32K on the odometer. Now, it's approaching 130k with very little trouble. It has been a great car, and a lot of fun!
It's not a show car, but it goes to car cruises and shows now and again. Mostly it works for a living...taking me daily to the places I need to go.
