About “Tin Indian”
I have owned this T/A since 1982.
Bought the fall after I graduated high school.
My parents found it for sale along side of the road at a dusty little car lot in central Minnesota.
I traded my first car and a motorcycle for it
.
Drove it to Texas in the spring of 1984 after joining the US Air Force.
Came back to Minnesota in the fall of 1987 and used it as my daily driver until I bought my 1983 Trans Am.
Stored during the winter months, along with the time spent in Texas resulted in a VERY clean car when it came time to repaint it in 1994, which I did myself out of a 24'x24' garage.
That year was my first year to make it out to the Trans Am Nationals where I took home a 2nd Place trophy in the Light Modified Class.
Since then, the car only makes it out into the sunshine for car shows or club meets.
This was the car I always wanted, and vowed to myself that this one would never get away, and after 29 years, it is still not likely to be leaving any time soon.
