About

I came across this car in an underground parking lot and it was completely covered in years of dirt. The owner stopped driving it due to a fuel pump failure so I bought it, hauled it home and had it up and running in a day. It needed the paint buffed out and hours of cleaning but turned out to be a great little car. I was never sure what the manufacturer of the kit was but it really didn't matter. The frame bracing was rectangular stock steel and a little on the crude side for workmanship. Engine was a stock VW with dual carbs and extractor styled exhaust so it sounded and looked fast....reality, it wasn't. Good fun and the car that got the most attention from people, mostly women, as it was so cute. The lack of power and tight interior were the factors for selling it. One of the few kits that actually looked like the real thing.

I can still remember the fellow who bought it driving up our street with the top of his head above the windshield, he was about 6 foot 4! It went to the Caledon area but I lost track of it that day.
