Last updated Sep 15, 2009
Added 09/2009: Gotta make room in the garage for a gorgeous Anglia we just bought. So my beautiful '57 is for sale. Took it out for a ride up to the CO Monument yesterday. Boy, does it run nice - and sounds even better!
For sale on eBay (WeCollectCars) for $18K, no reserve!
immaculate - excellent restoration - runs, drives, & stops great
This was a surprise from my dear hubby! We walked out of an old-fashioned diner in SoFla, and this was waiting for me - now how cool is that?!?!
Drive train is a good running 283 with a 400 Turbo trans and a 10 bolt rear with 3:08 gears. The car runs, drives, and stops very well. It has drums all around.
The drive train is a good running 283 with a 400 Turbo trans and a 10 bolt rear with 3:08 gears. The car runs, drives, and stops very well. It has drums all around. Front end was rebuilt during resto with new springs and I think it has 2” dropped spindles but I’m not sure. I have the original radio if I can find it. Some other things the car has are
* new, one-piece front bumper
* new rear bumper
* new taillights & housings
* new gas tank and sending unit
* new Edelbrock 600cfm carburetor
* new fuel pump
* new water pump
* one wire alternator
* new mechanical gauges
* wire wheels
* very nice tires though dated
What the car needs: It needs a neutral safety switch; someone along the way installed a floor shift with no switch. I would change the car back to column shift. Also needs arm rests. Emergency brake is not hooked up. Sun visors and package tray are not installed but I have them, plus new matching black & red material. The car leaks oil (tiny bit), transmission fluid (I think from sitting), and a little gas (if you fill the tank past ¾ full - I think it may be the filler tube seal).
