1957 Ford Ranchero Custom (El Rancho also The Vixen)
Last updated Feb 17, 2012
We bought this car from the original owner in Ottawa KS in 1993. It was all original and stock with 112,000 original miles.
We slowly rebuilt it between 1993 and 2005. We now do 50+ car show per year.
It got the "El Rancho" nickname because a clueless relative called it that not knowing the difference between a Ranchero and El Camino. After lookiing up the meaning of Vixen I recently have started calling her The Vixen.
Stock Original 292 Y block, with 3 speed overdrive column shift transmission, Original stock, differential and stock non-power drum brakes. No power steering.
Acrylic tonneau cover which fits within the bed so as not to cover the chrome trim. I put lift struts on the sub bed where the spare is.
