About
After more than 14 years my SIngle Cab now has paint. I elected to go with a two-tone blue/white color combo featuring VW colors Lotus White and Neptune Blue. Lotus White L282 (42) came on mid-60's beetles and Type 3's, while the Neptune Blue L50K (47) came on 1968-69 Type 2 Buses.
The reassembly has begun and I hope to be driving my Single Cab truck in the Spring of 2013.
Specs
Wide-Five "flipped" front spindles (3.5" lower), Wolfgang International IRS conversion for the rear suspension. Datsun 240Z/510 half-shafts, "built" transmission featuring 3.78/2.06/1.32/.93 ratios with a 4.125 R&P.
Engine displaces 2332 cc's and will put out about 200hp. 84mm chromoly crankshaft, 5.500" H-Beam rods, 94mm slipper skirt pistons, CB Performance Super Pro racing heads, Engle FK10 camshaft with straight cut gears, CB Performance 1.4 ratio rockers, genuine Italian Weber 48 IDA's with 42mm venturis, and a side-exit 1 5/8" merged header with a stainless steel muffler by Al's Headers.
Mods
Heavily modified suspension, higher performance transmission and street/strip 2332 cc engine.
