About

I bought this black beauty from a lady I worked with. She only wanted $500 and I drove home. The engine is still basically Ford 292 Y-Block but now has all forged internals. Check "Specs" for more details of the build-up!

The bed is '67 Ranger, grille is '63 F-350, and the seat is now something I picked up from an '85 F-150. Eileen is currently going under the knife again and now sports a whole slew of goodies under the hood. The 292 is no more and has been modified to a 309 with forged rods, forged crank, and forged Probe dome pistons. Why all the new forged parts? Well, for the new 300 hp Zex fogger plate system, of course! I was lucky enough to get in touch with John Mummert (aka "the Y-Block Guru") and found a TON of aftermarket speed parts offered for the old Y-Block engines. With any luck, you'll see the pics in the next week or so but the only real changes you're going to see are under the hood. This is my parts hauler, after all, and will be kept as my sleeper truck. With all the work, I'm hoping for an honest 700 rwhp when dyno day comes soon.
No AC, no radio, no 4-way flashers, no reverse lights, no fancy wipers, no power steering, and the heat is compliments of the headers running just beneath my feet. Security system? Well, I do have a "Folsom State Prison" sticker in the back window so not too many people are ballsy enough to violate her. Who could ask for more from a truck?

Additional fuel for the nitrous system comes via an eleven-gallon fuel cell (Speedway Motors) and a Holley "Red" electric fuel pump. The nitrous bottle is carefully camouflaged by a rickety wooden box bolted down inside the bed so I can maintain the "sleeper" image.

Holley 600 cfm mech. secondary carburetor

Hedman ceramic coated headers

Exhaust: ALL 2.5" with Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers and dumps

Centerforce Stage III Dual-Friction 11" Paddle Clutch

Dana 60 w/ 3.54 gears, factory 16-spline axles, and a Detroit Locker posi unit

Factory Options

Um.....It's got a seatbelt but that's MINE!!!

Eileen did have a factory optioned Tulsa PTO winch I sold it to finance other parts she needed more urgently.

Mods

I "modified" all the factory RUST HOLES with fiberglass and a fresh coat of suede black!

Iron plate (1" thick) rear bumper
Iron plate (1/2" thick) front PTO winch bumper

Whelen Police 200watt PA/Siren....just to annoy my neighbors and move the IDIOTS driving too slowly in the fast lane here in San Antonio!
