The car is a 1965 Corvette 396 roadster. I purchased this car in the late 80's just prior to the beginning of market craziness that drove the price of anything up and introduced investors into a market that was previously primarily enthuiasts. This was a non numbers car and painted a custom Brandywine but it was the 80's. With a nice set of oversized radial T/A's, 4 speed, tight big block 396 this car was a great street brawler for its time. I had the optional hardtop and used the car right up to when snow accumulated on the roads. I managed to find a proper dated block that was restamped for the car, something I am not proud of today but never presented as a matching number car. I didn't but it has resold several times since as a matching number. I still have all the records on the car and early appraisals so if it ever comes my way again and I am asked.....watch out. This was one of about 9 Corvettes I have owned.
