Photo of a 1965 Ford mustang d-code deluxe 3 point spinner (tang)

For Sale

Early production 1965 mustang built may 25th 1964 d-code in Dearborn Michigan. This car was as good as it got when built in May 25TH 1964. the k-code wasn't available in the early 65's until June 64. The three point spinners caps wheel covers set off the exterior. Magnum wheels where not available for early 65's. The interior sports a console which dresses up the standard interior. Pony interiors where not available on early 65's. The go-pac wasn't offered on these early 65's either The d-code is 210hp 289 4 barrel 9 to 1 compression engine. The only non-stock items on this car are the 2 1/4 dual exhaust and reproduction am/fm made to fit Mustang dash with i-pod connector and New Kenwoosd speaker under a stock rear parcel self. New correct Wimbledon white paint. One stage just it came from the factory. So you'll be the envy of all the cars guys on the block keeping it waxed ever 3-months. Waxing will keep the pain looking new and correct not better then new. New black interior with new white headliner installed correcty which means the headliner is under both the windshield and rear window. Every thing works on the car . It an original black and gold plate car. This Mustang I resisted doing anything or adding anything incorrect for early 65.. It was striped to bare metal. Doors fenders and trunk lid removed and returned to the correct color. I've included before picture. This was a resurrection not a restoration. Interior was around $5000 and is outstanding. Over 20k invested. d-code 289 CID 4-barrel engine could easily be the rarest engine option since it was only available briefly: from April to September of 1964. It was a 4-barrel version of the C-Code engine. a 260 2-V 164 horsepower V-8 It had a black, white, and red "289 Cubic Inch 4-V Premium Fuel" decal on the air cleaner lid. The car has power drum brakes and armstrong steering. One other thing I just remembered that's not stock. Mustang Country International on Lakewood Blvd in the city of Paramount Ca who did such an outstanding work on the interior also added a Petronix electronic ignition kit. MCI also fixed all electrical items .Every little lights works .Inside two courtesy light in the forward foot wells work. The two lights at the tail end of the console work. The glove box light and the light that comes on when flip the forward console compartment door up work and the over head dome also works. Other work done by MCI is they fixed the tail lights headlight parking light and turn signals They also fixed the horn new steering wheel and horn push bezel. These before mention item are unique to the early 65's had generators and fuel filter built into the fuel and an aluminum water pump which this car still retains. MCI also hung new reproduction door wing vents. MCI does high quality work at a fair rate. I highly recommend them highly. I keep forgetting all the work MCI did .They also went all through the brakes new master cylinder shoes and wheel cylinders and new tires and idler arm. One more thing MCI did for me was getting all the correct carburetor linkage ,clips, spring and getting passing gear to kick in. Millers Alignment on South Street in Long Beach since 1968 aligned the front end replaced the upper control arm bushings and new shocks. Car runs and drives preforms excellent. Out Standing performance . MCI had these had this car for about 6 weeks doing the interior . MCI had four of these 64-66 mustangs in there bay. MCI stated my 641/2 started and ran the best of the all 4 cars. The 210hop d-code will really make this light pony get up move. Stripes and Stuff also of Long Beach refurbished the black and gold plates. All new exterior chrome ,tail lights, headlights, parking lights lens ,bumpers, windshield, Grill pony and cross. bar . I believe the engine was rebuilt because when I removed the value covers there wasn't an ounce of sludge inside the engine you could see a new cork oil pan gasket. However MCI doesn't think the engine has been rebuilt because they said a rebuilt engine doesn't run as smooth as this car', engine .I have the Limited Edition dash plate issued by the Ford dealer to Charles W. White the Original. I tried tracking him down but have not had much luck .. I bought the car from a collection agency in Anaheim. Someone lost it after putting it up as collateral on a personal loan. It has new belts hoses radiator rodded out new fuel and water pump new plugs distributor plug wires and new you joints . Tags I brought up current for around $900 they are valid until Oct 2013. clean clear title. It had not been registered in 7years . I am replacing head light buckets some idiot backed into the car at the gym .I've included pictures of the before resurrection and after. My body and paint guy all his worker was surprised how nice the exterior turnout .The interior looks like a new 1965 built in may 1964 .Over-all I am very pleased how this car turned out.. It's my 4th restoration in since 2009. Now I am onto my 1969 Pontiac firebird 400. Credit for this resurrection Long Beach Collision Center 1460 long beach blvd long beach and Mustang Country International Lakewood blvd paramount ca . mechanical electrical and interior
