Back then most Vauxhalls took styling cues from GM US and were all the more enjoyable for it. A friend had a Ventora and that was a great car in its day. Today, GM has big problems, as do the other manufacturers. Sad about Pontiac. I like their Holden models in Australia - big V8s despite the so-called global ecological problems!.

Ah man, that almost looks like an American Chevy II (although I guess Vauxhall is or was a GM derivitive). I don't recall seeing these when I was station in England back in 81-83 (I had a 73 Ventora).

A great car in the old US tradition - fast and comfortable, but not too good around corners! Bought for peanuts from my next-door neighbour and enjoyed immensely for a couple of years.

Similar to photo attached.
