1966 Pontiac Parisienne Parisienne (66 Rag)

Last updated Jan 8, 2010

Photo of a 1966 Pontiac Parisienne Parisienne (66 Rag)

In my younger years I owned a variety of classic cars 59 Impala SS rag top, 54 Buick Roadmaster rag top, 52 VW rag top. See a trend here?

However, as life would have it; marriage, kids, divorce, marriage, life in general created conditions where a classic car was not in the picture.

The desire to have a classic car has not been quelled over the years, and consequently, purchased a 1966 Pontiac Parisienne convertible (Canadian model) with 49,000 miles on it from the original owner. Have the bill of sale from the selling dealer as well!

Currently the body is off the frame and getting the rust repaired, and the plan is to install an LT1 from a 1995 Caprice 9C1 into it.

Hoping folks on this site will be helpful enough to provide insite to the project in the following;
a) Can anyone help me find out how many of these cars were built? Vin # - 676467025778
b) Looking for help in determining which wires from the 1995 harness I need to keep, and which ones can be terminated. A 9C1 & a 1966 wiring diagram would be helpful if someone could point me in the right direction or provide one.
Thank you in advance to any help support I receive form site members.

The photo is how I found the car the day I bought it.

Plain jane Parisienne with a bench seat. nothing to special

Factory Options

The car does have power steering and power brakes

Planned modifications are;
a) 1995 LT1 motor and transmission
b) front disc brakes
c) paint
