About
My dad looked for this car for probably 20 years. When he found this one, the guys wanted $9,000 for it. So he bought it, but little did he know, it had a 396 out of a 1968 Pickup and had three #1 rods in it. So during restoration he had to decide on an engine. He first picked a 502 Ram Jet, but it stuck out 1/4 inch above the hood, and we wanted to keep the SS hood. So we decided on a 454 big block. Now we have the car back, and put it in as many car shows as we possibly can.
Specs
It has a 454 that makes 425 horsepower and I think 400 pounds of torque. it's pretty much stock in the way it looks, so it's not a race car. But it is fast.
Factory Options
It's the only chevelle I have seen with factory air conditioning and power windows. Some just have one or the other. This one has both, and they are factory.
Mods
The only modifications made on this car is the 454 and the fact that it's restored.
