1969 Pontiac Firebird (Blue Bird)
Last updated Aug 7, 2011
I have owned her TWICE since 1978...She was a 4-brl.-350 conv. T400 w/custom interior when I got her from the second owner...Sold her in '86 at 150k miles to a kid in Campbell...Bought her back in '88... The kid had tossed the rare HO-10.75 to 1 motor for a Balanced '70--455 ....10-1 and 365HP...even with 500 ft/lbs., she is great driver...Over the years, she has served as my several days a week driver and has repaints, tops, and 3 seats and carpets done...I rarely had the top up...even in Jan. and Feb...flying along 17 to Los Gatos to work with jacket and cap...
1969 convertible w/power top...custom interior, 455 with T400... open 308 rear LOL (only ruin one tire on burn-outs) 365+ HP with 500 ft/lbs.
Came with 350 -4v with big valve heads..T400..custom int. w/wood grain dash and console.. fold down rear seat, power top, gauge package, clock, 14-7 ralley II's, power disk brakes and power steering w/cooler ...color was and is Windward Blue...
Since buying her back, I have added a 400 hood, 10 disk cd in the trunk, and Vintage A/C... swapped the clock and ralley gauges for stair-step gauges and tach in the dash...
