1972 Datsun 240Z '78 280Z ('72 Z)

This is a car with a HISTORY.....
A few months after I sold my friend "Bob" my '83 280-ZX, he told me he was interested in my custom '71 I had sitting in the garage. He offered me $1500 and a 1972 240-Z he had. Being hard up for cash (and unemployed) I reluctantly let him take our "family heirloom". Besides, the '71 hadn't run since 1992. I added a cheesy APC wing to the '72, drove it to car shows, and ran around town with it. The Datsun was a blast to drive - when it ran. I have never had a car mysteriously quit on me so often as this! I finally traced most of the problem down to a rusty fuel tank (the pump was sucking rust and quitting) but couldn't fix it. That fall, "Bob" told me he had sold the custom '71 to "Zach" in Kzoo. Neither "Bob" nor Zach could get the car running. I contacted Zach and said I would trade a running '72 for his non-running '71. He was real happy with the deal (he later replaced my fuel tank), I got my "baby" back and made $1500 on the deal!
'Kinda stock 1972 240-Z.
1978 injected 280 Z motor, 1980 ZX aluminum wheels, 1978 280-Z front bumper/grille, BRE-style front spoiler and a cheesy APC metal wing.
