About
1973 MERCURY CAPRI 2600
Dark Green Metallic - Tan Interior
1 of 113,000 1973 U.S. specification Capris
2.6 Liter OHV V6
4-Speed Manual Transmission
I owned this Capri from 1990 for a few years. I bought it from the original owner. I spotted it, followed him home, and asked when he'd be selling. I bought it several months later. This was a fun car, and very quick with the V6 as the car's weight is only 2300 pounds!
1971-1977 Mercury Capris were made by Ford of Germany and imported to Lincoln-Mercury dealers. They were also made by Ford of England in right-hand drive for their home market.
Ford continued producing the Capri for the U.K. market until the mid 80s, not related to the U.S. 80s American Mustang clone and 90s Australian convertible Capris.
