1976 Pontiac Firebird Formula (Pumpkin)
Last updated Jul 25, 2010
Dad and I bought this car almost sight unseen. It sat underwater for two weeks in Hurricane water in the Raleigh / Cary NC. At the time we just were interested in Trans Ams. We were in Raleigh for a car show and a gentleman asked if we may be interested in a Firebird. So of course I went to look at it out near Knightdale NC. I did some number crunching and figured out it was an original 76 W50 Formula with a Pontiac 400. Long story short we got the car in pieces but now it is one solid Firebird Formula.
The engine had been rebuilt by the previous owner to stock specs except a RA III cam. Car sill retains its original transmission TH350, and rear end, and exhaust for the most part. Car has never really been tested.
1. W50 special appearance Two Tone paint scheme and decals.
2. Pontiac 400 Motor / TH350 Transmission
No mods other than factory options.
