1977 Pontiac Firebird (1977 Firebird)

Trophies: 8 Give a trophy Last updated Feb 26, 2009

Photo of a 1977 Pontiac Firebird (1977 Firebird)

Purchased when I was 18 from the original owner. Still have all receipts and documentation all the way back to the original order and an order for a different Firebird that was changed to the one for this car. I bought this car before I graduated high school and by the time I finished my first year of college it looked as it does in the picture.
I had a solid base to start out with. Very much unlike most cars from that era (especially in the Chicago area), this car was incredibly clean and solid. The upholstery has no rips or cracks and needed nothing but a headliner. The car was meticulously maintained, although the original owner knew very little about cars. It was always garage kept so the only problem was that the paint was beginning to oxidize. There are about 84k miles on the car and the drivetrain is tighter than any car I've driven, new or old. All in all it was a lucky find and I intend to hold onto it for a good long time.

305 cid Chevy engine--yes this is stock and yes it is original.
2 bbl carb and 3 speed auto trans. No, I don't plan on any modifications.

Factory Options

A/C that still works
Deluxe interior
Rally wheels

Added rear spoiler at repaint.
Did not need paint, but I didn't want any oxidation or surface rust to take off.
Original color Nautilus Blue, repainted with Pacific Blue, nearest match.
