1979 Pontiac Trans Am 10th aniversary (worth every dime)
Last updated Mar 11, 2010
I met Red at the world of wheels car show this year and that started it all! I once owed a 1979 trans am and sold it in 1990 the year my daughter was born to pay the medical bills. That was 20 years ago and when I met Red and Wayne at the show it just brought back so many memories and feelings I just felt like a kid again, it took about 2 weeks and about 6 cars to find this little beauty and boy was I lucky a 10th anniversary with only a couple of spot of surface rust and mechanicaly pretty sound sure she needed a few things but all in all I feel pretty lucky and the man who had her needed money to pay for his daughters wedding so I feel as if I got a great deal. So we have been working on the car for about 2 weeks and driving her every other day to make sure she will be ready for the run and so far all lights are green and we have not found any major issues. I have had more fun in the last month than in years working on this car and teaching my daughter how to do minor repairs and just doing it together, I really feel blessed. She accually gets mad if I do something to the car when she is at school and cannot help! Well that is my story and as soon as i can we will be posting pictures.
400 cid 4spd transmission and not sure of the rear end but its mighty low.
