About
You see cars called "Survivors" all the time, that were never driven or used and lived most of their lives in a trailer or garage, thats not a "Survivor" thats a museum piece. This jeep is a real survivor, she's been from Alaska to Pennsylvania, spent time in a junk yard, been taken apart and put back together, towed trailers that weighed more than her without complaining, been jumped and pushed, and even been set of fire, yet she still runs and drives and keeps on moving. Thats a "Survivor"
She may look rough, but with over 225,000 miles on her, shes still the most reliable vehicle I've ever had. I bought her at an auction for 125 dollars as a part vehicle for my other Grand Wagoneer, but she turned out to be in better shape so I ended up stripping the other one to fix this one up. About 4 years ago we had a fire that burned up the rear of the vehicle. We thought she was a goner, but when I jumped in, she still fired up. Took alot of work getting her cleaned up and put back together, and she's painted with bed liner until I can get her painted right, but shes back on the road and a regular driver again. Shes the one vehicle I'll never part with. Kinda reminds me of me..old and beat up..but refusing to quit.
Specs
Mostly stock with a 360ci AMC V-8 with matching 727 automatic and Dana 44 rear/front diffs.
Factory Options
A/C hopefully I can get it working again
Power everything else...and they all work still..surprisingly
Mods
Added a 3 core aluminum radiator too keep her cool.
Using a Procomp 6AL ignition.
Considering an EZ EFI setup...If I do I'll post the results
