1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS (The SS)
Last updated Jun 3, 2009
Car has a fully redone interior. New seat covers, door panels (upper and lower), new window hardware, new door lock hardware, new carpet, new headliner, new console lid, new shift cover plate, new front and rear windshields, new stereo/speakers/amp, rebuilt speedometer, brighter bulbs around the gauges, new weatherstripping all around, even new floor mats. I redid the trunk as well, repainted with the trunk spatter paint, new carpet, new seat backer too. New trunk weatherstrip too. Body was repainted 2 years ago with PPG paint. All door jambs were painted as well as trunk jambs and under trunk lid. Racing stripes are painted on and car has several coats of clear. New stock wheels as well. Engine compartment is fairly clean and has original 305 engine. The car runs strong (for a 305), trans shifts nice and firmly and car has a good ride. I removed the AC a while ago but have all the pieces so it can be replaced on the car. The T-tops are in great shape and have the bags in the trunk. The car has lived in my garage year around since I bought it 6 years ago or so. A close friend of mine owned the car since 1992. I have put a lot of time, money and effort into the car and unfortunately need to sell it. Drop me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.

I have owned the car since 2002. Since then I have completely redone the interior, trunk and had the body repainted. I haven't gotten around to doing anything with the engine yet. I can't decide on what to do there. At this point in time, it looks like I have to sell the car. I am not trying very hard now but may have to get more aggressive in the future. If you are looking for a very well cared for monte, this is the one. I have spent a lot of time with her and she gets lots of looks wherever we go.
T-Tops, power door and windows, velour interior, cruise control, probably a few other things I have missed.
The paint job is pretty custom with the Chevelle style racing stripes painted on. They aren't the stupid sticker racing stripes, they are the real deal. I did some work to get bigger sound from the stereo too. Other than that, she is all stock.
