1986 Ford Mustang Cobra (Cobra)
Last updated Jul 28, 2010
This was a very interesting Mustang. I bought it from a guy who had bought it off the showroom floor, but it was a year old. This car and a twin were only two built by Ford like it. It was a parade car for the Anhauserbush beer company that made the King Cobra malt liquor...anyone remember that beer? It had the first fuel injection used in a production Mustang and it was quite a quick little car. The other car was shipped to California so there was a car on each coast for the company's use.
This one did the quarter in just over 15 seconds and I don't remember the MPH, but I think it was around 90. Not bad for what 215HP?
Auto Convertible, special build for Anhauser Bush beer company. Had large gold Cobra on the hood and dash. My wife hated snakes, so I sold it.
