this is my 86 svo mustang. it was fords attempt to make a street race car for the road course. It was built to attract people that were into european cars, bmw 318i was the target car..the person that bought my car new traded in a audi for it. the 86 svo came with 200 hp which is the same as the 5.0 mustang gt. but the svo has a turbo charged 4 cylinder. the more I read about the svo the more I had to have one. it is a fun car but not to many people know what they were all about. svo mustangs came with a lot of firsts. you would have to read about them at www.svoca.com or www.svooa.com.

Specs

200hp from the factory. same as the gt mustang. with less weight it handled much better and was faster then the 5.0 gt. but it cost about 6 grand more than a gt.

Factory Options

the only options the svo came with is a sunroof and leather interior..mine only has the sunroof. the comp prep cars could get things deleted for lighter weight. otherwise all svos came with all the goodies. premium stereos, a/c, power steering and brakes, windows, 4 wheel disk brakes, 16 inch wheels, recaro seats with lumbar support, fog lights, a switch to use either premium or regular fuel, and a whole lot more...although you could not get cruise control.

Mods

mine has a bigger turbo, ford motorsports ignition, and k&n filter. has more stuff but I dont know what all it has. the previous owner dosen't know either. he bought it to keep but his wife wouldn't let him have two toys.
