At age 17, I orignally bought this car admiring its close resembalance of the Knight Industries Two thousand (KITT) just for its Third generation body style. 3 years later I bought a 1982 Pontiac trans-am. Beautifuil car, but needed a major overhaul. I decided to turn my 1990 V6 firebird into a "trans-am" replica of knight-Rider using the body panels, trunk, hood, and interior of the 82 Trans-am. I fiberglassed my own front bumper and added the scanning light bar. I repainted the car myself, bringing it down to bare metal, primed it, base coated it, and clearglossed it; totaling 13 layers. Interior still needs work. I have fiberglass version of the bowling ball hub caps and the 14 inch turbo rims. Engine was rebuilt in 2001. I've have currently owned this car for 13 years and still working on its conversion. It is my dreamcar.
