I got the car when I turned 16 - it was a base 1991 T-Bird with the 3.8L V6 N/A. Not a bad car for a high school kid, but after a while - I wanted something faster.
In the fall of 2003, with alot of helps from a couple of friends - the car underwent an engine swap. My friend had bought a '90 Super Coupe for parts and we put the drivetrain (engine, trans, rear end, etc) into my 'Bird. Essentially, turning mine into a Super Coupe. But it lacks the Super Coupe suspension, the ride control, ABS, and the ground effect package.
The car was great for a little over a year until the headgaskets let go. The transmission was fresh, so decided to pull the engine and rebuild it all instead of just fixing the headgaskets. Also had some fun with the engine as well while it was out.
