I bought this car after my '87 S10 bit the dust and my wife said no more money into it. I had practically rebuilt that truck. So I went for my first hot rod car in 26 years. The Z28 I found was flawless with 111k on it. It would lay down tracks for 15 feet with the automatic from a dead start and still chirp the tires hitting second. I traded it to my youngest son for his 2000 S10 Extreme LS. He had the Z for two weeks when someone rear-ended him and totalled the car. It was like loosing a member of the family. That's when the hunt was on to find a Corvette. That's what led me to the '90 Corvette I now own. My youngest went on to purchase a 2002 Camaro.

Specs

It had the stock LT1 with the only add being a cold air induction. It got 21 mpg and was a great ride without any further adds so far as I was concerned. I was starting to become a purist.

Factory Options

It was a straight up Z28 with automatic. We did swap out the wheels for 2000 SS 17 inch wheels, but that wasn't a speed option, jut made it look better.

Mods

K&N cold air induction was it. Nothing else.
