I live on an old highway that has narrow ditches and steep cuts. Every winter when the typical wind blows snow it plugs the road out to the new highway. I need a snow plow rather than spend $400 to $600 a year hiring someone to plow my road. I found my GMC on Ebay. It only has 18,000 miles. Shipped it in from North Troy Vermont. Now I have a good clean roadway from my home. I actually look forward to seeing the snow. I also have a 1970 Chevy 3500

Specs

IT has a 350 engine and automatic transmission, and 4X4. I like the utility box tool boxes and the electric over hydraulic end dump box. The sander is nice but I do not use it much. It is great for weight and traction.

Factory Options

The truck came with the snow plow, utility box end dump, the sander was added later but came with the truck when purchased.

Mods

Last spring I purchased chains for all wheels. Should make it more like a tank and push plenty more snow.
